Interactive Grid
and presentation animaiton (case study)
Overview
This was a fun and engaging project for OVO Energy, who approached me to design and animate an interactive screen experience for their Impact event, alongside visuals for their presentation.
The visual language was built using an isometric design style, enhanced with injected motion elements to bring clarity and energy to complex ideas. The concept centred around OVO’s vision of the grid of the future, visualising how energy flows, connects, and adapts.
At the Wired Impact event in London in November 2023, OVO’s expo stand used this animation to attract attention and spark conversation with attendees. I designed a seamless looping animation that illustrated energy moving dynamically around the grid, encouraging people to stop and explore.
To increase engagement, the experience included interactive buttons and pop-out text boxes, allowing users to dive deeper into key ideas. The final animation was displayed across nine interactive TV screens and was also featured during Raman Bhatia’s presentation, helping support and reinforce the story being told on stage.

The living hold above was then put onto 9 screens with an touch layer ontop that was mapped so that you can interact with the screen and it would interact with the programming to open and provide more information on the section.
